Operation Homecoming.

Yes, you read it right! HOMECOMING!! It's so soon. So close but so far away.. or that's what Holly & I say. I can't believe that we've tackled this deployment with barely any troubles and problems.

November was NOT my month. Sailor had left in September & everything was going good - minus our microwave deciding to basically stop working the same exact week Sailor left. Yeah, the curse started early. Buying a new microwave was going to come sooner or later.. but a car? Yeah, we were trying to get another 3 or 4 years out of it but I suppose ol' Jose had another plan for us.

November 7th, 2 months after Sailor left, my car was stolen right outta my parking space at my apartment. I was devastated.. When I saw where he had crashed & totaled it - I flipped. In reality, it wasn't all that bad but there is a major dent in the red light pole where he crashed. I got money back from my insurance but since it was already 10 years old, they couldn't give me much but they had the nerve to tell me I may have to pay $1k for the stupid pole. Really? Uh.. no. Thankfully, I didn't have to. Plus, whose dumb ass idea was that anyways?

ANYWHO.. (I really got off topic.. kinda) after all the troubles and problems, we've made it this far! & I'm preparing for Sailor to finally sleep in the same bed & trash the apartment. I can say I don't miss sharing a bathroom with him but it's one of those things ;)

Reality didn't really set it until today when I saw this:
110302-N-2937R-224 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 2, 2011) The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) transits the Pacific Ocean. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is returning from a scheduled deployment to the U.S. 7th and 5th Fleet areas of responsibility supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts. Kudos to navy.mil (here)! They're in the same damn ocean. & almost the same time zone <3 I'm sooooo excited.

kinda a pointless post, eh?
